Awesome hotel at best place Excellent hotel at Thamel, awesome staff specially Mr. Prem and team. They helping us from sightseeing , airport pickup and drop along with currency exchange. we enjoyed our stay, breakfast as well as surrounding market in our four day stay.

A welcome feeling! This trip to Nepal had a very personal touch and emotional charge for me. It was very nice to stay here: the staff was very helpful, friendly, warm. It almost felt like family! Every now and then there was time for a chat and a joke; both the security staff, the restaurant staff, the managers, the counter staff...They were all very involved and warm. What a wonderful experience! The rooms were fine. the showers were very nice, the breakfast was also good. I would definitely recommend the hotel! Great Customer Service 5 stars for customer service. The staff here arranged our EBC trek and a trip to Chitwan for us while we were in Thamel. They also booked us a tour of Kathmandu and a massage when we got back from our trek! If there is anything you need or want to do, the staff here will make sure it happens. They also will store your luggage safely while you are away. Loved the flexibility. The shower was hot and the room satisfactory, especially for the affordable price. Walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants you could want. I do recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Thamel is extremely noisy- I don’t think this is something you can avoid if you are staying in this area.

Excellent rooms, location, and service Excellent value for the price. We had everything we needed (outdoor shops, bike shops/repair, food, groceries, gadget shops) within walking distance. The included breakfast is good, with a moderate number of choices. They have clean rooms, adequately sized, and a nice and spacious patio which served us well since we had bikes to assemble and repair. Most of all, the staff are very accommodating and friendly. Karma Gurung, the manager, even personally walked us to the nearest hospital when my partner had an arrhythmia attack. He stayed in the hospital until we told him we were ok, and checked on us repeatedly afterwards. Even the guards asked to know how my partner was doing. The lobby staff were also very helpful, and would attend to our questions and other needs. We thank our tour operator for booking us in this hotel because we might not have found it on our own. It sits a little bit hidden in an alley in the middle of Thamel, but this is a good thing, because it means it's out of the usual noise and traffic of the bustling district. We definitely recomment staying here.

Great trekkers hotel option in Kathmandu I was one a group of 10 who stayed at Hotel Thamel before and after a trek. The location is excellent with restaurants and shops an easy walk or right across the lane of you don’t want to go far. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as was the coffee. Most of the guests seem to be fellow trekkers of all ages and nationality which gives it a good vibe. Rooms are spacious, clean and adequate, especially if you have a balcony room.

Perfect Place to stay when visiting Kathmandu This hotel is on a little side street off the main tourist street in Thamel, Kathmandu. Very easy walking distance to souvenir shopping, trekking equipment, the Garden of Dreams, and many restaurants. Yet, you hear none of the noise you would expect in a busy place! The room was very comfortable with a spacious private bathroom. The staff, especially Karma and the housekeeping staff, were extremely helpful and kind. Many people who are trekking to the Himalayas stay here, but also families and couples who are visiting as tourists. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here (4 nights).

Good hotel in Thamel Good hotel, clean rooms, helpful and friendly stuff, good breakfast. Located in the center of Thamel area with lot of shops, restorans etc. Hot shower, conditioned air, clean laundry. Recommended to stay in Kathmandu. Some rooms with windows to the wall.some with good view, so check the view.

Excellent restaurant This review is for the restaurant where we went as a group and had traditional Nepalese food. The service was good, it was attentive, and everyone was kind. The food was tasty and we all enjoyed it. Nothing that seemed to wild or crazy, but standard traditional fare for the region.

Good Karma at the front desk We very much enjoyed our stay in Hotel Thamel. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the hotel has by far the best shower we had in 2 months India & Nepal. Apart from that, it has a very friendly staff, both in the restaurant (great breakfast!) and in the lobby
